This week’s recipe is not so much of a recipe but more of an alcohol-free alternative for happy-hour at home. It’s perfect for cooling down on a hot afternoon, an evening of self-care or a cosy date-night in. Overall, it takes 5 minutes to make (if that!) and is dead easy to put together.

Non-Alcoholic Elderflower Margarita

Quick, easy and alcohol-free. This refreshing mocktail uses very few ingredients and, best of all, requires no fancy equipment. It's ideal for drinking on a hot afternoon or for a guilt-free happy-hour at home… tastes a lot better than sticking to water and feels a lot less anti-social too!
Recipe measurements will vary slightly depending on what kind of glass you use. In this recipe, we make a short mocktail but the general rule of thumb is 1 part cordial, 3 parts mixer.

Prep Time 5 mins
Servings 1

  • 30 ml Elderflower Cordial
  • Soda Water to top
  • Handful of mint
  • 1 lime
  • Small bowl with salt and sugar (optional for rimming the glass)

  • Cut the lime in half and rub around the edge of the glass – the lime juice will help to make the sugar and salt stick. Then, turn the glass upside down and dip into a bowl of salt and sugar until it has a light coating
  • Add ice into the glass if using, slices of lime and fresh mint. Pour in the elderflower cordial and top with soda water. Give a quick stir and it's ready to drink
